Corsica was hit by a very violent storm which left at least 5 dead, twelve injured, and a great deal of material damage this Thursday morning. A 13-year-old girl died after a tree fell at a campsite. A 72-year-old woman died after the roof of a straw hut fell on her vehicle. Further north of the island, a 46-year-old man also lost his life after a tree fell on a bungalow in Calvi.
