Novinar i kolumnist Večernjeg lista Davor Ivanković odgovorio je za Večernji TV na sedam pitanja vezana uz rat u Ukrajini koji je počeo prije točno dvije godine. 

1. Koliko će trajati rat?

Zagonetka. Mislili smo da će trajati pet dana, sedam dana, godinu dana. Sada je dvije godine. Optimisti kažu još godinu, pesimisti možda sve zajedno pet godina. Znači, to ostaje zagonetka još uvijek.

2. Koliki su ljudski gubici?

Već sada su ogromni ljudski gubici. Ni jedna strana ne kaže točne brojke, naravno. Procjene kažu od 300.000 do čak pola milijuna mrtvih. 

3. Neko zapadno oružje nije korišteno, dok drugo jest. Zašto?

Neka zapadna oružja su se pokazala neučinkovita, poput tenkova zapadnih. Vjerojatno je razlog u tome što nije bilo dosta obuke Ukrajinaca na tim tenkovima. Neka su se pokazala fantastična kao dalekometni projektili, kao Himarsi i protuavionske rakete za koje Rusi još uvijek nemaju rješenja. 

4. Zašto Ukrajinci nisu dobili moćan F-16 i dalekometne projektile?

To je očito riječ o političkoj odluci. Razlozi su politički, a ne tehničke naravi. Zato što veliki broj ukrajinskih pilota je već prošao obuku. Ne i treninge, ali obuka je prošla i avioni su se mogli već do sada naći. Kao i projektili koji lete više od 300 kilometara. Očito je riječ o političkoj odluci Amerike.

5. Bi li se Rusija zaustavila na Ukrajini?

Vrlo vjerojatno ne. Zašto bi se zaustavila ako ih dobro krene? Vjerojatni sljedeći cilj bi bio ili dublje u Ukrajinu ili čak riješiti problem Moldavije ili čak napad na Gruziju.

6. Je li rat probudio europske države?

Rat je uspio probuditi europske države. Europljani, spori kao i uvijek, malo su se nećkali. Međutim, brzo je shvaćeno da smo se razoružali u zadnjih 20 godina, da treba pokrenuti proizvodnju koja je puno manja nego prije i računa se da će trebati Europi tri do pet godina da se uspije opet naoružati. 

7. Bi li dolazak Trumpa na vlast završio ili zakomplicirao rat?

Za razliku od medijskih i javnih pristupa koji Trumpa smatraju nekakvim poluluđakom koji bi ostavio Ukrajince na cjedilu, to bi stvarno bio ludi potez i Amerika to sigurno neće učiniti. Dapače, mnogi republikanci, i to koji predsjedaju njihovim odborima u Kongresu, vrlo jasno smatraju i govore o tome da, kada oni dođu, ako dođu, Ukrajinci će dobiti moćnije oružje jer cilj je pobijediti Rusiju.

Mnogo je raloga zašto Ukrajinci nisu dobili F-16, a autor se odličio za samo jedan - politički. Dobro je poznato da F-16 traźi dobro ispeglane piste ( za razliku od MIG-a i Su-a) kojih u Ukrajini ima smo nekoliko. Taj avion je osim toga mnogo zahtjevniji za održavanje, te osim obuke pilota traži i opsežnu obuku osoblja na održavanju. Tvrdnja da Ukrajina večima mnogo obučenih pilota za F-16 nije točna jer ( po zapadnim izvorima) samo 4 pilota su završila obuku i trening…

Nisu ih dobili jer ih nema za bacanje ! Rusi bi ih spalili čim bi poletili , pa bi to rušilo vojni moral ionako napaćenim nedužnim ukrajinskim vojnicima !
