GlTommy Lee Jones hasn't felt nervous since he was in his twenties.
The actor has been acting since he was a teenager and has enjoyed a lengthy career in Hollywood. Despite landing a series of high-profile roles in blockbuster movies, Tommy always feels relaxed when he is on set. The 66-year-old believes people must be careful not to let their anxieties spin out of control.
"I was only nervous in my twenties when I had just started acting. Otherwise I don't know what it is like to have shaking hands, clattering teeth or sleepless nights," he told German TV station Tele 5.
"Since I was 16 I've worked hard to become a good actor. Doing that I learnt that nervousness doesn't do a theatre production or a movie any good and my job is to let something good emerge. Insecurity just doesn't belong to my profession."
Tommy also spoke about his private life. The star has been married to his third wife Dawn Laurel since 2001 and they are happier than ever.
Although Tommy appreciates having such a strong relationship, he still prides himself on being independent.
"If two people decide to live together it's all the more important to respect each other as individuals," he explained. "You shouldn't define yourself by a relationship but by who yourself are. This could be one of the keys to the success of a marriage."
