Filip Benković očito je u vrlo kratkom roku uspio "kupiti" brojna srca navijača Celtica. Nakon još jedne impresivne predstave, ovog puta protiv Hiberniana u subotnjoj pobjedi "The Hoopsa" na Celtic Parku (4:2), brojni štovatelji slavnog kluba iz Glasgowa zatražili su od kluba da poduzme što može vezano uz njegov stalni angažman.
Navijači Celtica po svršetku utakmice bili su osobito glasni na Twitteru, ali unatoč svoj očitoj očaranosti stasitim hrvatskim braničem, teško je vjerovati da će Benković još dugo nositi Celticov dres.
Podsjetimo, Benković je u Celtic stigao ljetos na posudbu iz Leicester Cityja (tek što je kupljen iz Dinama za 13 milijuna funti), kluba koji je odolio primamljivim ponudama i zadržao u momčadi Harryja Maguirea.
Ipak, budući da silni bogati prosci neprestano kucaju na Leicesterova vrata, vrlo je lako moguće zamisliti scenarij prema kojem će engleski reprezentativac još ove zime promijeniti boju dresa, a što bi otvorilo prostor za povratak Benkovića na stadion King Power (klauzula u ugovoru mu jamči da to može, op.a.).

Would love to see us sign big Benkovic but it's no going to happen. Leicester will either want him back to play or try and recoup the £13m they paid for him in the summer.

Easy to see why Leicester paid £13m for him.
Pity is they have an option to end his loan in January.
Celtic watched him at Zagreb in 2016 without bidding.
